Chloe Watson brings original work 'Temporary Dwelling' to Los Angeles

OMAHA – Sept. 9, 2014 – Temporary Dwelling, a contemporary ballet choreographed by American Midwest Ballet’s own Chloe Watson and featuring music by Sean McVerry, made its California premiere at Moskowitz Gallery in Los Angeles last month.

Inspiration for the ballet stemmed from a reflective experience while seeking shelter from a hurricane in Middlebury, Connecticut.
Touching upon themes of nostalgia, memory, and familiarity, the work was brought to life by San Diego Ballet dancer — and former American Midwest Ballet apprentice —  Bridget Carpenter, who debuted the piece with American Midwest Ballet in Omaha last season at the company’s Encore Series production, New Works.
Long-time friends and collaborators, Watson, McVerry and Carpenter are graduates of Purchase College at State University of New York.
