Iowa West Foundation awards $20,000 grant


Thanks to a generous grant from the Iowa West Foundation in support of Alice in Wonderland, American Midwest Ballet now has an additional $20,000 to assist in its mission to enrich Nebraska and Iowa communities with high-quality professional dance performances and educational outreach. This Iowa West grant will be used to leverage other donations and funds for performances in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Iowa West Foundation is one of the largest community-based private foundations in the Midwest. Headquartered in Council Bluffs, the Foundation assists nonprofit organizations and government entities with funding for area projects.

Additional funding for Alice in Wonderland performances and educational programs comes from Nebraska Arts Council’s matching grants program funded by the Nebraska Legislature, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
Since 2010, the Iowa West Foundation has awarded $85,000 in grants to American Midwest Ballet.
